U.S. VISA INFORMATION

For those traveling to the United States, please visit the sites http://www.unitedstatesvisas.gov & http://travel.state.gov for information about obtaining a visa. Both sites have links to websites for U.S. embassies and consulates worldwide with helpful information about procedures, timelines, communities served, required documentation, and fees.

International registrants should be particularly aware and careful about visa requirements, and should plan travel well in advance. Obtaining a US visa may take several weeks. The participants who need to apply for a US visa should begin the visa application process as early as possible. This could be very lengthy process that will take long time. DO NOT WAIT.

All visa inquiries must be handled by CTS Registration Chairs. Please send your request for a letter in support of a visa application to Barbara Frantom and Felicia Harlow at Barbaraatcts@gmail.com and feliciaatcts@gmail.com. Include your name, mailing address, and fax number, as well as the name of the workshop/special session you are attending. (Authors of papers/posters/presentations should also include the title). The Registration Chairs may require additional information or documents before they are able to issue any letter of support.

Email Subject: Visa Letter CTS 2015

Please note that CTS does not issue formal “letter of invitation” to any of its conference/workshops attendees.

Only registered authors, sponsors, exhibitors, and participants will receive such support letters. PLEASE contact the Registration Chairs before you proceed and in case you have any further questions.

To be on the safe side, please plan for alternate presenter(s) of your work in case the visa application takes much longer or does not get approved.
